YellowGround looks back on 2023

2023 is almost at an end. What a year it has been. We at YellowGround have been hard at work and are proud of our year. We’ve added some new talent to our team, started and finished some amazing projects and traveled around the country (and Europe) to talk about PIM and MDM.

Thank you for making 2023 an amazing and successful year. We’re looking forward to more projects, more talented team members and even more reasons to celebrate in 2024!

A premium gift to end this year

In one way or another you were part of this amazing year at YellowGround. To thank for this we have sent a bottle of premium balsamico your way.

Looking for some inspiration? These simple but amazing dishes below are just some examples of what you can achieve with some excellent balsamic oil.

Honey balsamico salad dressing

Every salad needs to consist of these five elements.

  • Something fresh: think spinach, rucola, lettuce, cucumber, or a combination as a base.
  • Something sweet: tomatoes, corn, sweet peppers or even some fruit.
  • Something crunchy: almonds, peanuts, cashews or other nuts (toasted or raw). Something like croutons or tortilla chips, if you want to add some carbs.
  • Something creamy: think avocado, but you can also add some soft cheese (mozzarella, gorgonzola, feta) or some hard cheese (cheddar, shaved parmesan, gouda)
  • And homemade dressing!

Our favorite homemade dressing:

Serves: 6-8

1/2 cup light olive oil, about 8-9 tablespoons
4 tablespoons of honey
4 tablespoons of the excellent YellowGround Balsamico
fine sea salt to taste (about 1 teaspoon)
freshly ground black pepper to taste (about 1 teaspoon)

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Use fork or whisker to combine.
Drizzle on your perfect salad.
Store at room temperature.

Balsamico chicken with mozzarella

Serves: 4

4 chicken fillets (about 150 grams each)
200 grams Heinz Tomato Frito
50 ml YellowGround balsamic vinegar – plus extra
Juice of 1/2 lemon
250 grams cherry tomatoes – halved
150 grams mozzarella
torn Fresh basil
finely chopped Black pepper
400 – 500 gr pasta of choice

  1. Mix the Heinz Tomato Frito, YellowGround balsamic vinegar, and lemon juice together. Place the chicken fillets in a ziplock bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Ensure that the chicken is fully covered by the marinade and let it marinate for preferably two hours in the fridge.
  2. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Slice the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes.
  3. Fill a large cooking pot with water and salt for the pasta.
  4. Heat a bit of olive oil in a frying pan. Get the chicken from the marinade, but don’t throw the marinade away!! Brown the chicken fillets on all sides without cooking them through.
  5. Place the chicken fillets in a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over them.
  6. Distribute the mozzarella and cherry tomatoes over the chicken.
  7. Bake the chicken in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes until fully cooked.
  8. Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.
  9. Drizzle the chicken fillets with extra YellowGround balsamic vinegar and sprinkle black pepper and fresh basil on top. Serve with the pasta.
