Customer Case: HVAC Manufacturer<\/h1>

Data quality and complete product data have never been more important. The digital world requires organizations to adapt their internal processes to make data enrichment as easy as possible. This HVAC manufacturer resolutely chose the independent expertise of MDM specialist YellowGround.<\/p>\n

Challenge<\/h2>\n

YellowGround was approached by a leading manufacturer of HVAC equipment (including air conditioners, heating systems, and ventilation systems) to support the implementation of a new Master Data Management solution. The goal? To improve the efficiency of collaboration within the company and increase productivity.<\/p>\n

Approach<\/h2>\n

YellowGround analyzed the business processes and data of the existing Master Data Management (MDM) system to determine the requirements for the new MDM system. The decision was made to start with the Stibo Step system, which was fully configured to the client’s wishes. One of the main tasks was to ensure that the data from the old system could be integrated into the new PIM system. The outdated PIM system was not suitable for the integration of external suppliers, catalog, and data management. Additionally, the client wanted the ability to export data to data pools.<\/p>\n

To meet these needs, YellowGround developed a customized solution in two phases. In the first phase, the PIM system functioned as a data mapping tool, with seamless integration between SAP and the PIM system. This resulted in the automatic creation of products and the import of product data from the outdated PIM system to the new PIM system. Thanks to the integration with AEM, the assets in the PIM system became visible, and data from the PIM system could be sent to various data pools. Phase 1 was delivered in January 2023.<\/p>\n

In the second phase of the project, which is currently in full swing, the old system is being completely replaced by the new PIM system, with all data management being carried out by the various user groups. One of the main advantages of the new solution is that data management and workflows are integrated, making it easier for everyone to work on the data and contribute to more complete data records. The new system provides clearer task distribution and more transparency, leading to improved collaboration and business results. The final system will go live at the end of this year.<\/p>\n

By integrating data governance and workflows, employees can collaborate safely and efficiently. This allows multiple employees to work on data enrichment for the same products at the same time. This solution contributes to improved efficiency and increased productivity for our client.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
